My Most Anticipated Games from E3 2021

While this year’s E3 was a teensy bit disappointing for me compared to my Dream E3 2021, it’s understandable that there aren’t as many huge game announcements after a pandemic. Despite not having any huge mind-blowing surprises for games, there are still quite a few games I’m looking forward to playing. Here are my E3 2021 most anticipated games:

Breath of the Wild 2

BOTW2

I’m sure you guys knew this would be at the top of my list. Even though Breath of the Wild 2 isn’t coming until 2022, I was really excited to see even a little more of the title! I am also more than happy to wait this length of time, as Legend of Zelda games are always top notch quality as a result of their lengthy development time. I am really intrigued by the fact that this game is rumored to be darker than an even Majora’s mask.

The Legend of Zelda : Skyward Sword Hd

So I know Skyward Sword HD has been announced previously, but I’ve never gotten to play Skyward Sword and I am very excited to pick up this title in July. Less excited about motion controls.

Back 4 Blood

Way back in the day, I had an Xbox 360 and Left 4 Dead 1 & 2 were some of my most played games. I’m really excited to see this spiritual successor to those games! I wasn’t expecting this announcement at all.

Monster Hunter Stories 2

Monster Hunter Stories 2

Full disclosure, I have never played a Monster Hunter game in my life and I didn’t even know there was a Monster Hunter Stories 1! Unlike other Monster Hunter titles that involve actually, ya know, hunting monsters, this game involves befriending the creatures, known as “Monsties,” in a JRPG world. I really liked the trailer for this game and hope to play it eventually.

Fatal Frame : Maiden of Black water

Fatal Frame Announcement

I’ve always heard so many things about Fatal Frame and have never actually played a single one of these horror games. Now seems like the perfect time, with the remaster of Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water.

Resident Evil RE:VERSE

I was pretty excited to hear that this game, which features iconic characters from all the Resident Evil titles, will actually be up and running next month, since I got a code for it with Resident Evil Village.

Shin Megami Tensei V

shin megami tensei v

I am not sure how I feel about Shin Megami Tensei V, judging from the trailer. As a huge Persona fan, I feel like it’s a no brainer that I should like this game, but it just didn’t look all that appealing to me? And I haven’t picked up its predecessor remaster either. I might give these games a chance anyways, since it’s Atlus.

Starfield

I don’t have an Xbox Series X, but with Bethesda games seeming to be inclusive since Microsoft’s acquisition of them, I may have to pick one up. I am intrigued by the whole “Skyrim in Space” marketing that they’re going with for Starfield, versus Fallout in space. This is definitely a game I will be watching to learn more about.

Redfall

This is definitely another game that intrigues me. Despite being over the whole vampire thing, Redfall makes their vampires look pretty unique and the characters fighting them interesting.

Slime Rancher 2

Slime Rancher 2

I have still not played the first Slime Rancher game, but I know when I get around to playing it, I will love it. After all, what’s not to love about cute little slimes? So I was pretty excited to see they were making another title in the series.

I agree with all of this! I’m excited for a lot, but some of my most desired games were not mentioned this year. Still great though! ?
